Roast duck in the oven with garlic and honey

To an ordinary weekday evening did not seem the same drab and boring like everyone else the past few days, suggest to your attention a recipe that will help you a bit to brighten up this evening.
At 3-4 servings
1 duck (2 kg), 4 cloves garlic (or you can take ginger(15-20 g) ), 6 tablespoons.  soy sauce, 3 tbsp. heres, 2 tsp. cornstarch, 2 tbsp. honey

Pour over the duck on all sides with boiling water. Cut off the wings and excess fat. Crush garlic (ginger) with a knife, mash and chop into pulp, mix with soy sauce, heres and honey. Lubricate the duck with this mixture on all sides, put on the grid, the grid placed in the wok with 0.5 liters of water.
Cook for a duck in the oven at 180C for 2 hours, every 15 minutes lubricating honey sauce. From the resulting sauce to drain excess fat, evaporated by a third, salt, thicken with starch. Serve, cutting slices with vegetable sauce and rice
Try it with white or red burgundy wine

  1. I've always been afraid to venture outside the standard triad of cow/pork/chicken, but I feel bad about that when I see recipes like this. Looks awesome.

  2. I have to agree with Thespian Thunder. I normally don't get the opportunity to cook anything outside of beef pork or chicken, usually it's too expensive to do so on my budget.
